Draughtsperson – Architectural Metalwork

We are currently hiring for our client based in Leicester a leading specialist in architectural metalwork, structural steel, and bespoke work for high-end projects. As part of their continued growth, we’re seeking an experienced Draughtsperson to join the Drawing Office team
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed general arrangement (GA), fabrication, and installation drawings using Tekla Structures.
- Develop accurate 3D models and drawing packages for architectural metalwork, feature staircases, and structural steel components.
- Collaborate with design, production, and site teams to ensure constructability and design coordination.
- Manage drawing revisions, updates, and change control in line with project requirements.
- Maintain company drawing standards and contribute to ongoing process improvement.
- Provide technical input during project meetings and assist in resolving design-related queries.
Essential Requirements
- UK-based experience within the architectural metalwork or structural steel industry.
- Strong understanding of UK fabrication and installation standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience with other 3D modelling or CAD systems (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) advantageous.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
